Colour and sound are both closely connected to each other: they are both expressed through frequencies, and they can both be made appealing to people experiencing them through artwork or music. What we wanted to do was see if we could convert colour into sound by creating a program in Java, based on these connections. Our process showed us that there are infinite different ways to go about answering this question, and the results we got aren’t the only ones possible. We hope to develop our program, Aura, enough to help colourblind or blind people experience colour through music.
